The Institute is a regular member of EPNOE association

The European Polysaccharide Network of Excellence” – EPNOE is a research and educational net based on contract Nr 500375-1 concluded between the European Commission and members of the consortium. The objective of EPNOE is to develop new ,functional polysaccharide-based materials as alternatives to crude oil products. The Net comprises16  partners from academic and research units representing  9 European countries.

The activity of EPNOE is subdivided into three main fields: management, research, education

The Net presently functions as an independent, private, non-profit organization named  EPNOE Association

The mission of EPNOE is in:

  • Multidisciplinary research in polysaccharides, their manufacture, processing and application
  • Education of young scientists
  • Exchange of scientists and dissemination of science and results of research in the domain of  polysaccharides
  • Extensive cooperation with European industry
  • Organizing of meetings, seminaries and conferences

It is expected that, in the decades to come , ENOE would accomplish the role of a leading player in research and education concerning polysaccharides, their manufacture, processing and application. Cooperation with EPNOE will provide to European enterprises the chance of introducing and developing of novelty functional products that would present themselves as alternatives to materials of non renewable resources

By creating a Business Industry Club (BIC), EPNOE Association has  bridged  research partners of EPNOE with industrialists active in  polysaccharides  BIC  has been called to live  to enhance cooperation with industrial partners, provide R&D and training, understand the needs and expectations  of the polysaccharide industry, organize joint research projects, ease the  access to results of investigations, provide a direct contact with EPNOE scientists, augur emerging trends in science and technique.

EPNOE  Association is composed of  16 regular members (EPNOE partners) and z 23 associate partners (members of BIC).
